Following an Early Intervention approach and focus, we maintain strict age limits when it comes to referrals, assessments and service provision for individual therapy support. This policy allows for continued access to Early Intervention for young children.
Children aged between 0 and 3 years 6 months (3;6) may be referred to Playful Connections Speech Pathology for individual therapy.
Children can access individual services from Playful Connections until 6 years of age, or at the discretion of clinical in line with goal areas.
Consultative services are available outside of this age range.

A neurodiversity affirming model of support is used with all clients.
All sessions are child-led and play-based to enhance the development of holistic communication skills
Parent/caregiver coaching is utilised in acknowledgment that most growth occurs outside of "therapy" sessions
In line with our service philosophy, sessions are not provided if a parent, caregiver or support worker is not present, as this does not allow for home or site goal development and support.
